Coming Soon!
(Aiming for the 16th-17th of December.  They'll be ready to ship out a few days later, to reach you no later than Dec. 23rd-24th.)

The Coffee Cart X Great Basin Pottery Mug is back with some little additions to make your #coffeeoutside experience even better.  We teamed up with Jared at Ruby Coffee Roasters to include their Steeped single serve coffee packs.  Randi also made handsome zip totes from Italian wool and waxed canvas to contain your coffee gear including a mix of UCO long-burn & stormproof matches nestled in a tin.

About the Coffee Cart bag: If you're going to bring your nice mug along for a ride you better make sure it's well protected.  We made this bag with thicker foam, a custom slot for the handle and an extra snug fit.  The higher mounted handle allows the mug to sit deeper and more securely in the bag.  For good measure we opted for voile straps since they hold well and cinch tight. To top it all off, each mug is capped with natural cork to keep sloshing to a minimum while in transport.

About the mug:When we met Casey Clark (first on IG, then on the phone, and finally in person at his studio) we knew we had to resurrect this quirky combo.  He makes solid mugs AND rides bikes so this project is full of love.  Each mug is carefully made from high-fire stoneware clay. The glazes are mixed from naturally occurring, non-toxic, materials and are 100% food safe (the green is a celadon and the brown is an iron-saturate, for all you clay geeks out there). Fired in reduction to approximately 2,350º F.

About the coffee:Ruby Coffee Roasters partnered with Steeped to develop a single serve coffee filter bag of August Seasonal Blend.  Steeped has a proprietary system where they grind coffee, fill the sachet, and then nitrogen flush the whole packet to keep the coffee fresh.  August Seasonal Blend is a new blend from Ruby that is currently exclusive to Steeped single serve coffee bags. It's a blend that's designed to be bright, balanced, and sweet, with a lighter body. August Steeped brews in just a few minutes, making it easy to brew delicious, fresh coffee wherever you have access to a hot water.

About the zip tote: These handsome zip totes are made from wool Randi's mom, Joan, brought back from a trip to Italy and our 6.25 oz waxed canvas.  They are fully lined with cotton and finished with metal YKK zippers.  They are approximately 6.5" tall by 7.5" wide and have a flat bottom so they can stand up on their own.

Coffee Cart Bag Features:

  • Waxed canvas exterior
  • Nylon diamond ripstop lining
  • Mesh bottom for accidental spills
  • Cam buckle closure keeps your mug secure
  • Thick 1/4" foam insulated
  • Includes one 6" and one 9" Voile strap
  • *New* hook and cord attachment at headtube
  • Mounts to right side of stem
  • Can be used as a coozie off the bike

Ruby Coffee Roasters:

With a background in many facets of specialty coffee on the West Coast (LA, Portland & Seattle), we launched our micro roasting business in 2013. Our first roasting space was in the garage of Jared's (founder) family home on 20 acres of rural property in unincorporated Portage County, Wisconsin. We found a niche with quality-driven cafes nationwide and saw a huge response shipping directly to home consumers (thank you!)

In 2015 we moved our operation to nearby Nelsonville, WI, where we found an old warehouse space that would accommodate our growth. We have since renovated the entire 4000+ square foot building and have devoted spaces for coffee storage, shipping, quality control, roasting, and also a weekend tasting room.

These will be ready to ship Monday, December 13.
