We're obviously big fans of waxed canvas; it has a unique look and feel to it that technical fabric just can't duplicate.  We wanted to bring that fabric into our cap line and offer something a little different from our wool and linen caps.  This cap is constructed with four panels that curve around the head and are handsomely top-stitched.  We lined the cap with lightweight silk/cotton fabric and added ethically sourced merino ear-flaps. This cap is one you'll want to grab to go feed the chickens or meet your friends for a drink.  We also have found this to be the warmest and most water resistant of our caps.  The cotton / nylon blend has a super tight weave then when impregnated with wax it offers a great barrier between your head and the elements, add that inner flannel lining and the double layer merino wool ear flaps and your noggin will be ready to take on most any storm.

    • Size Medium/Large, 22.5" - 23.5" and Large/X.Large, 23.5" - 24.5" (measure your head please!)
    • Elastic in back panel for a nice fit.
    • 4.4 oz. 70% cotton/ 30% nylon waxed canvas, silk/cotton lining, 100% merino ear-flap
    • Stitched and stiffened brim
    • Fits under a helmet

SIZING INFO:  These caps are very time consuming to make so please measure your head!  You can find out how to measure your head at our FAQ (see CAPS) page.  Measure twice cut once, as Randi's carpenter dad says!  If you have any special requests, let us know, most likely we can accommodate you.  If you receive your cap but it's too large or too small, Randi can adjust the sizing to try and give you the best fit possible (you're also welcome to return it).  Email us at: info@randijofab.com.

    BRIMS:
We use two different sized brims.  Our Small & Medium, which is 7.25" wide by 1.75" deep (at center).  And our Large & XL, which is 8.25" wide by 2.25" deep (at center).  If you have a preference we cap swap them around for you.

    CARE:
Spot wash with a damp cloth and mild soap (like Bronner's) and hang dry.  Do NOT put in the washing machine.

No cold is too cold for this cap!

This rugged cap fits as great as it looks. I put this it through its paces riding, hiking, and XC skiing all winter long in Montana and it never let me down. Even in 20 degrees! I never want to ride in anything other than a Randi Jo cap again.

    The best winter cycling hat!

I love the versatility, style, and quality of this hat! It has been blocking the wind from my ears in the autumn and keeping them warm and completely covered through the winter down to the teens with negative degree windchills. The flip-up visor allows me to wear my snow goggles and paired with a wool gaiter my head stays plenty warm on my winter commutes and joy rides. It definitely beats a knit beanie for winter cycling and it just looks great. Really great craftsmanship that is worth the wait and wonderfully packaged. I love to support small businesses with quality made-to-order products.

    Just really great......

I was looking for a good Oregon winter cycling cap, as I had misplaced my go to wool cap from seasons past, when I came across this wonderful waxed canvas flip-up cycling cap. I really like the look and fit. I wear it with both the wool section down over my ears and with it tucked up into the cap. I ride logging roads a lot and sometimes go helmetless while cruising. This hat is awesome for that. Keeps the chill and the dampness off. I am now wearing it off the bike as well because it just makes me happy. Great construction and materials. Waxed canvas, made in Oregon, well thought out and reasonably priced. Just Really great!
